SAFGUARD -Universal Mechanical Safety Tester HONG KONG

Attachment Strength tests for all accessories
This tester provides a means to accurately measure how safe accessories are, when attached in a product. It is also used to compare a variety of accessories from different vendors. Accessory testing enables you to safeguard your customers.

It is a simple but effective design, mainly consisting of a high precision gauge, a sturdy stand, and special grips/clamps. It requires very little training. A sample is attached and force is applied until snap or tear occurs. All snap and tear parameters are specified by the buyers.

A standard weight is offered to regularly calibrate the scale.

Standards Reference
BV, JAPAN product Liability Law, ASTM F963, EN 71, M&S P115A (for snap), P115 (for button), ASTM D4846-96 and many others.

Test Interpretation
There are many different test interpretations. Snaps, for example, are tested to withstand an attachment strength of 17 pounds (or 7.73Kg) for 10 seconds. If not, it is deemed to be unsafe.
